This past weekend, we had lots of fun crafting and doing activities from our Fall themed Curiosity Box!
My seven year old and I were pleasantly surprised by how many crafts and activities were included in the box! There was Fall themed word search, tic tac toe board, a super cute scare crow craft, two apple scratch cards (which if you haven't done before, the kids really love!) and other bonus items like a sticky hand and leaf shaped slinky!
Our favourite craft from the box and the one my daughter got at RIGHT AWAY was the Fall wreath. All of the crafting materials were provided and the instructions were simple and straighforward. My seven year old who can read, could easily do the craft from start to finish on her own….which is awesome for busy moms! For my two year old, the crafting skill level was still easy enough that she could manage with mom's instructions and guidance.
The wreath was made of colourful foam leaves, foam acorns and googly eyes (see accompanying photo). The steps had my daugher first glueing (glue included!) on the eyes to each leaf, glueing a cap on each acorn and then creating her own pattern to apply the leaves and acorns to a cardboard wreath stencil. The final step was adding the twine bow. Simple but adorable.. and, most importantly, she was quite proud of her creation!
